Greetings and welcome to the new digital gateway of the Grand Lodge of the State of Israel of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.

As Grand Master of the Order in Israel, I am proud to present to you a window into one of the oldest, most influential, and most fascinating fraternities in human history.

What is the Order of Freemasons?

The roots of the modern Order are planted in Britain, where it was founded in 1717 under three eternal foundational principles: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. We are an Order of men who embrace the values of integrity, equality, and charity as a solid foundation for their lives (in other countries overseas, there are also lodges for women). We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering internal fraternity among its members, while continuously working for the community through charitable endeavors, benevolence, and social service.

It is important for us to emphasize: Freemasonry is neither a religious organization nor a political organization. Among our ranks are members of all faiths, secular and religious alike, who find common ground with us through absolute mutual respect. The Order is composed of men of good reputation and personal integrity, individuals of values and ideals, who aspire to bring about positive change in society through the moral teachings and unique ancient philosophy of Freemasonry.

But beyond all formal definitions—Freemasonry is, first and foremost, a way of life.

This is how I see it, and this is how I strive to conduct myself every day—in my family life, in my professional work, and with my friends and Brethren in the Order. It provides a moral compass and practical tools for continuous self-improvement.
